Our Fees Structure

We offer a range of fee options that are designed to cater for the particular needs of our clients, the demands of their case, and the service level that the client prefers.

We are also open to payment of our fees by instalments.

In certain cases we also offer conditional fee agreements – no win, no fee or no win, low fee, depending on the circumstances of your case.

For most cases we will conduct the work on an agreed fixed fee. This means that you will know the legal expenses associated with your case from the outset. There will be no extra charges for telephone calls, photocopying or printing.

The scope of the work covered by the fixed fee agreement will be set out in the client care letter so that you know precisely what you are paying for. We will take time to evaluate the scope of work required, the complexity of the work, and the time the work is likely to take before agreeing a fee with you.

There is a large spectrum of service providers in the immigration field. Solicitors and barristers with varying levels of experience and expertise are available to instruct, as well as practitioners that are registered with the OISC (Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner). Those practicing by way of registration with the OISC might not be qualified lawyers, and might not be regulated by any other professional body such as the Law Society or the Bar Standards Board. Our fees will not be comparable to many of those providing immigration services because of the difference in qualification, expertise and experience between the various service providers. However, our fees are competitive because under the public access scheme we work directly with clients so that there is no need to pay a solicitor as well as a barrister- you only need to pay one lawyer, rather than two.

Our fees will not include costs that are payable to third parties (referred to as disbursements) such as Home Office fees, Court/ Tribunal fees, and independent experts’ fees. If these costs arise in your case, you will be responsible for paying them.

All fees quoted are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added at 20% where it is payable. We will clarify this with you at the time that agreement is reached for us to take your case on.

Professional fees for a consultation with one of our barristers is typically:

Senior barrister (10+ years experience): £400
Experienced barrister (5-10 years experience): £300
Junior barrister (up to 5 years experience): £200

Payment will be expected in advance of the consultation.

The fees might be higher if the subject matter of your case is more complex, or requires more time due to the volume of paperwork for instance. In any event, this will be agreed before the consultation takes place.

Our approach to each case is tailored to its specific needs. This is one of our key strengths, but it also means that our fees for preparing and submitting applications vary from case to case. Below is the range of fees we would expect to charge for our full service- unlimited consultations, and full preparation of the application and supporting evidence.

Professional fees for a straightforward application are likely to be between £1,250 – £3,000.
Professional fees for a complex application are likely to be between £3,000 – £6,000.
Professional fees for a very complex application are likely to be between £6,000 – £10,000.

The following factors will have an impact on the overall fees:

– seniority of the barrister
– complexity of the issues, and the number of issues
– the number of applicants
– the volume of evidence that is needed in support of the application
– the timeframe for completing the application

We would be happy to discuss various fee options with you, as well as the level of service you require. If the fee quoted for our full service is not within your budget, we can explore other ways in which we can provide you with advice, assistance and guidance so that you can benefit from our expertise but within the budget that you have identified for your case.

Our approach to each case is tailored to its specific needs. No two appeals are the same. This is one of our key strengths, but it also means that our fees for preparing appeals vary from case to case. Below is the range of fees we would expect to charge for our full service- unlimited consultations, and full preparation of the appeal.

Professional fees for a straightforward appeal are likely to be between £2,000 – £3,000.
Professional fees for a complex appeal are likely to be between £3,000 – £6,000.
Professional fees for a very complex appeal are likely to be between £6,000 – £10,000.

The following factors will have an impact on the overall fees:

– seniority of the barrister
– complexity of the issues, and the number of issues
– the number of appellants
– the volume of evidence that is needed in support of the appeal
– the timeframe for completing the preparation
– any potential complexities in case management such as adjournments, extensions to deadlines, or case management hearings

The fee for representation at an appeal hearing will depend on the following factors:

– seniority of the barrister
– complexity of the issues, and the number of issues
– the volume of paperwork
– whether the barrister has previously been involved with your case
– the location of the hearing

The fees for representation at a hearing will range between £1,500 – £5,000.

Such cases are usually taken on the basis of a CFA, or charged at hourly rates. The hourly rates applicable will typically be:

Senior barrister (10+ years experience): £400

Experienced barrister (5-10 years experience): £300

Junior barrister (up to 5 years experience): £200

I’m very pleased and throughly satisfied with the professionalism of Mr. Jafferji and his team.Mr. Jafferji has presented my mother’s ADR case in such a professional manner to court that I, being a witness myself in this case, do admit that Mr. Jafferji has given thorough study and great deal of time to my mother’s case.Mr. Jafferji being one of the senior barrister in U.K. is expensive as compared to other barristers but I must say that his knowledge and professionalism worth every penny I spent. I highly recommend Mr. Jafferji to those who care for their loved one’s case more than their pocket because, with Mr. Jafferji, you will get justice sooner or later.ADR is one of the most difficult cases to deal with due to the rules and threshold home office has set but Mr. Jafferji has managed to get ADR visa for my mother through First Tear Tribunal (FTT).Finally, I thank you Mr. Jafferji and his team for all the support, suggestions and hard work they have done for me.

Immigration matters can be very stressful and I must say indeed it’s been a long journey, as a client I find it your work ethics and energy very encouraging. you helped us draft up legal documents in no time at all ahead of the appeal, you always got to us quickly and made it a seamless operation. After speaking to you the first time and knowing that you were our legal representative for this appeal my faith was restored, and my father mentioned how moved you were by this case so I knew deep down that you were going to come through for us and I must say you did an amazing job. This means so much to us as a family, to be able to reconnect after these years and I must say we got what our money’s worth as it is evident of the outcome of this appeal. If you want a knowledgeable legal representative at a reasonable price, go to Husefa Z Broachwalla, that’s my recommendation.
